Professional Objectives:

To obtain LEED certification.  I have proven myself to be a competent project architect for multi-million dollar projects and now I desire to design mixed-use high-density neighborhoods consisting of live-work lofts, restaurants, and big box retail stores.

Personal Values:

“Integrity strengthens any structure.”

Profile:

My approach to design is determined and directed by the degree of the challenge.  I am inspired by achievements on past projects to pursue new design challenges.  I would describe my own architectural work as being subtle rather than striking.  I invite you to review my portfolio and judge for yourself.  Please let me know what you think and e-mail me at richburton@juno.com.

Learning Goals:
To develop an approach to design that yields more dramatic results.  To let go of the purely rational routine - which has produced aesthetic yet conservative buildings. This exploration in design will compliment my twelve years of experience in architectural firms and three years on the construction site.
