Project: Dairy Queen located within the Westfield Mall Food Court, Lincoln, Nebraska

Dates of Execution: August 2005

Client: Pam Woods

Project Summary: Westfield Group hired Architectural Design Associates to design a new food court and a number of retail spaces as an addition to an existing shopping mall.

Self Analysis: This Dairy Queen is better than the one I visited in Seattle Washington.  After doing a great job on the overall project, my office was awarded opportunities to do more work throughout the United States.

Results/Personal Information: For a design fee of $10 per square foot, I had to work hard for every dollar earned.  Kitchen and service counter designs will always require attention to every detail.  Each piece of equipment requires some investigation and integration with the entire scheme.  At times, there were "too many cooks in the kitchen" with my local client making decisions that were not approved by the corporate office.  Negotiation was necessary to achieve mutual agreements.
