Dates of Execution: October 4, 2001 – October 18, 2001

Client: Pinnacle Bank

Project Summary: The development of two city blocks is just a small part of a downtown renovation project. The demolition of an existing pawnshop and other buildings will provide space for a new bank, restaurant, and 100,000 S.F. of lease space.

Self Analysis: The research and design required for the three story parking garage provided a new challenge. The Li-Cor project that is included in this portfolio as #9, provided the basic design for the new buildings. It is hoped that the success and experience of the past can be applied to the future project.

Results/Personal Information: The process of developing several schemes required a great deal of patience. But after the final selection was made, I felt confident that this is the best arrangement of buildings, which could not be achieved without exhausting all of the other possibilities. The $21 million cost estimate is based on current estimates from R S Means Building Construction Cost Data and reflects the average cost of construction for Nebraska. The 3D modeling facilitated the design development process by providing several aerial perspectives and pedestrian views for evaluation and critique.
